Occupant Protection - It's more than just
Seat Belts and Car Seats
-
An unbuckled passenger can injure or kill other buckled passengers in a vehicle during a crash.
-
Those unsecured groceries or that fantastic steel water bottle are projectiles (i.e., Cannon Balls) in a crash.
-
Kids under 13 years old should be in the back seat away from the powerful front airbags.
-
Unused seatbelts are not a toy and are a possible strangulation hazard.
-
Always check a car seat when exiting a vehicle even if you know you don't have a child with you and never leave a child unattended in a vehicle, even for a moment.
-
Montana State Law says children up to 6 years old and 60 lbs. must be in a car seat/booster seat. We recommend 8 years old and 80 lbs.
-
Up to 4'9" it's still Booster Seat Time!
